YOUR ADDRESS
The #1 reason forms get rejectedCheck your ZIP. Campuses often straddle two ZIP codes, and a different ZIP can mean a different precinct. Look up your building's exact address on your school's housing page.

Students ignore ads. They ignore you too, but less. Text them this:
Hey, did anyone tell you that you can register to vote at school? Takes a few minutes. The deadline is Oct 4, and early voting runs on Saturdays, so no trip home. votewhereyoulive.org/south-carolina
TEXT ITClose the deal. Look up the hall's street address. Send it. Stay on the phone until they hit submit.
Registering at school drops them from the roll back home. Talk about it first.
Commuting or working
Living at home? Your address is already right. Your problem is time.
Early voting includes Saturdays. Oct 19 to 31, 8:30 to 6. Closed Sun the 25th.
Go to any early voting center in your county with a photo ID. No excuse needed.
MYTHS
And one real caveatQUESTIONS
Short answers- Can I vote where I go to school?
- Yes.
- Both places?
- No. One only. Registering here drops you from the roll back home.
- Do I skip class to vote?
- No. Early voting runs Monday through Saturday.
- Does a student ID work at the polls?
- No. Bring an SC driver’s license, SC DMV ID, passport, military ID, or a free photo voter card from your county election office. No photo ID and can’t get one? Bring your paper voter registration card, sign a short form saying why, and vote a provisional ballot. It’s counted unless the county can show the form is false.
- Can I vote by mail?
- Registered back home and at school in another county? Yes. That’s one of South Carolina’s accepted reasons. Ask your home county’s election office for the absentee application. Registered at school? Then no, but early voting runs Saturdays.
- Is this partisan?
- No. No candidates, no party, no sign-ups.
