Nobody will call to remind you. Is yours one?

Are you:

A student?

Register at school or at home, not both.

The form wants the building you sleep in. Your campus mailbox has never slept anywhere.

Federal financial aid won't notice. From out of state on a home-state scholarship? Check its residency rules first.

In South Carolina? Step by step.

A parent, aunt, uncle, sibling, cousin?

Students ignore ads. They ignore you too, but less. Text them this:

Hey, did anyone tell you that you can register to vote at school? Takes a few minutes and the deadline is coming up. votewhereyoulive.org

Text it

On the move?

Deployed, on a travel contract, or living out of a van? Your deadline belongs to your home state, not the parking lot you're texting from.

Voting by mail from somewhere else? Your absentee request deadline matters more than this one. Find it at Vote.org.

Overseas, start at FVAP.gov. Your ballot travels better than you do.

Sources

Online, mail and in person each get their own deadline, because of course they do.

Every date links to a state or county election office. If a government hasn't written it down, it isn't here.

Rules change. When in doubt, the source wins.

Registered where you live?

Not sure counts as no.
